New art exhibition "AZIMUTH" by artist Inguna Krolle-Irbe will take place in airBaltic Training centre starting from April 10, 2012.
"The life of a person is considered to be measured in linear segments. However, the emotional scale of adventures is formulized by the colour palette, and the spiritual existance that is everywhere and infinite is transferred onto the circumference. These concepts result in a complex network, where each and everyone of us try to understand, feel and express ourselves." (Inguna Krolle-Irbe)
The exposition shows how Inguna’s creativity has changed over nine years by presenting the collection of her acril paintings.
The title of the exhibition, AZIMUTH, has been chosen to symbolically characterize the individual’s map of progress, the exposure to external processes, as well as the devotement to the formulation of experience.
By definition: AZIMUTH is the angle between the reference plane and the point. Usually it is expressed in degrees and it is measured clockwise, the reference plane being in the direction to the North.
The AZIMUTH can alternate even in the context of daily life, when opinions, actions and feelings can be viewed in different measurement scales.
The working process of Inguna can be characterized in various ways:
"The form is like the symbolical shell for thoughts, which can be encrypted personally. I create a pretext only for stopping at specific feelings that are prevoked by a word or sense. Each painting is fomalized in a concise word, that accompanied me throughout the process. The main thought conducted the cheerfuless of colours but not the gamma. Each painting has its Name, that is determined in the mind during the phase of sketching. The Name helps the painting to develop. Likewise, as the name develops the person.
I paint only when I am in an emotionally positive condition, because I strongly consider that the artist is the one privileged to create beauty and enhance goodness."
The essence of the developed artwork reflects three guidelines, that Inguna believes are very important:
The emotional affilation, temporal existance and overall value.
It can be called "the trio": The beautiful, graceful and noble, that are viewed each in a diversed level.
THE BEAUTIFUL
First of all, it is visually attractive, easy to perceive, and the valuation is driven by personal ideals. The origin of external beauty is internal harmony, purity of thoughts and clearness – the consciousness of the aim and mission. This is the context by which flower portrets with hints of love in women’s faces are to be perceived.
THE GRACEFUL
The goal, a cornerstone in the geometry of actions. The goal, counsciousness of specific progress, an algorithm driven by personal ideals (Algorithm is a process or set of rules to be followed in calculations or other problem-solving operations, it is percise and unambiguous). Rational lines, constructions, encrypted ratios of colour relations enter Inguna’s paintings.
THE NOBLE
The highest criteria. Unconditional general patterns. Values worthy of respect – true values. Simultaneously it is a simple principle of nature. The mechanism of this principle never rusts regardless of the degree of latitude. The simplicity of the circular form puts an accent on the idea. Texture enhances the feeling of presence by creating hints of other aesthetic value scales.
When coming to the exhibition AZIMUTH you have a unique possibility to get acquainted to the personal stories of each painting.
